LaBLove: LaB's first anniversary bash

LAB, Philadelphia's weekly blues and Lindy practicum, is turning one! In celebration, we're bringing together our favorite teacher, Brenda Collins-Krstanovich, and our favorite musician, Gordon Webster, for a celebration of blues and Lindy the likes of which our fair city has never seen.

The Workshop will include five one-hour classes (all of which are geared towards intermediate dancers), and is structured to give equal attention to both blues and Lindy. With the help of Portland-based title-winning instructor Andrew Slac, Brenda's classes will focus on technique, with special attention to connection and musicality. The workshop is limited to 60 participants, and costs $50 per person for the full day of classes, or $15 per class.

The Dance will feature Gordon Webster (with special guest Carsie Blanton). Along with a talented host of accompanists, Gordon has delighted dancers all over the world with his passionate, flawless, dancer-friendly renditions of all our favorite blues and swing tunes. The dance will cost $10 for workshop participants, or $15 for the general public.

Housing will be available to all. Just let us know when you register or email carsie@lindyandblues.com to request housing.

Besides the fantastic music and dancing, there will be M&Ms and prizes! All events are open to the public. Register today!
