Class Descriptions

All classes are appropriate for beginner/intermediate level Lindy Hop and blues dancers. If you are not yet familiar with the basics of both dance forms, we recommend you attend our introductory classes at LaB, and sign up for future workshops!

Lindy Class 1:
Solo Body Movement

Learn a routine that accentuates the music, partner movement, and personal body movement in an interesting, dynamic and fun way.

Lindy Class 2:
The Mike & Laura Swingout

In this class, Mike and Laura will give you their swingout, as well as give you a toolkit on making your overall dancing feel and look more natural.

Lindy Class 3:
Pay Attention!

Here, both leads and follows get a toolbox of spiffy stylings that they can do and how they can interact and play off of each other.

Lindy Class 4:
Moves That Make Us Happy

Here, Mike and Laura... uh... show you some moves that make them happy. Things that are fun to do and fun to learn.

Blues Class 1:
One Head, Four Feet

Here, Mike and Laura get elbow deep in connection technique of weight placement and moving with your partner as one unit.

Blues Class 2:
Open Position Blues

How to make your blues dancing travel and flow in open position - giving you a greater avenue of expression.

Blues Class 3:
Crazy Musicality

Here, we separate the men from the boys (so to speak). Not only is it important to change your body movement to the music, but it is important to be able to hand tailor your moves to fit the music.
