The German Society building is in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia, just northeast of Center City. It’s a historic building complete with two 3000 square feet rooms, the Auditorium and the Library, which are wood-floored and perfect for dancing. Please wear suede or otherwise soft-soled shoes for classes at this venue, as the floors have been recently refinished.

The GSB is just blocks away from Philly’s hippest cafes, restaurants and shops (don’t miss Honey’s Sit n’ Eat for a great brunch), including Silk City, a sweet restaurant, bar and club open into the wee hours (2am).

A beautiful space in the first student union in the country, this is the main student center of the University of Pennsylvania. Bodek Lounge is on the first floor in the western wing of the building. A wide variety of food can be found in the basement of the building or on Walnut and Chestnut streets.

There is ample street parking on Spruce, Walnut, and Chestnut streets. There are two parking garages, one at 34th St and Chestnut St and the other at 38th St and Walnut St. The rates vary but are approximately $13 for the day. We do not have any discounted parking deals with any of the garages near this venue.
