Carsie Blanton
Carsie is a Lindy Hop and blues dancer, teacher, DJ and organizer based in Philadelphia. Her love of music motivates her passion for the dance, and permeates every area of her life. A few of her favorite artists to listen or dance to are Billie Holiday, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Sidney Bechet, Snooks Eaglin and Artie Shaw. When she’s not dancing or DJing, you can find her writing and performing her original music throughout the US, Canada and Europe.
Kerry Genese
Kerry is a Philadelphia dance native. She’s been a regular LaB DJ for a few years, and continues to DJregularly at LaB dances including TuesdayLaB, Jazz Attack, Rittenhop, and Philly Bal Night. Kerry was also fortunate to play at last year’s LaBLove celebration alongside her awesome fellow Phila-DJs. Dancing in Philly, you almost can’t escape her Jam of the Week/Day/Month. She takes care to set a mood, feeds on the excitement of dancers, and is very serious about silliness. Get ready, folks! When it comes to songs, Kerry only likes to pick the good ones.
Graham Hunter
Graham hails from LA but now lives in Philly. He likes his jazz sweet and hot. He has been a LaB Tech and organizer for about a year and a half and has been dancing for about 8. When Graham started listening to jazz for the first time he was about 18 and he never looked back. His favorite artist right now, hmm... Louis Armstrong.
Marc Longhenry
Marc Longhenry is one of our newest DJs, recently 'Graduating' from LaB’s DJ apprenticeship program organized by Stuart Collins. Taking interest and influence from a great variety of Dancers, DJs, and Artists, Marc enjoys bringing people to their feet and their dances to near euphoria. He delights in bringing new and different views to DJing while keeping the classics in play, and the most heart warming moment of his night is to see the crowd-wide reaction to a fantastic song.
Dan Repsch
Dan is a Philadelphia native whose obsession with music has been life-long. He's taken to DJing because he loves sharing his music, inspiring other dancers, and guiding the energy of a dance. He's constantly challenging himself to bring new material to his fellow dancers and works hard to offer a variety of music in his sets that stays true to the roots of the dance. He loves all styles of music and his sets tend more toward vintage-style jazz and blues, but he can bring the funk if the dance calls for it.
Dan started as the primary instructor and DJ at Penn State until his graduation, and since his return to Philadelphia has become a regular DJ for Philly’s many weekly dances. Dan has traveled to teach and DJ at exchanges and dances along the east coast and is always looking for the next travel opportunity.
